VINEYARDS

Being planted only to un-irrigated bush vines it is extremely hard for the yields ever to get above 6 tons/ha. With this said, we are therefore naturally blessed with quality and depth in the wines.
The vines are hand pruned, manicured and hand harvested. The farm is in a stage of being converted to organic viticulture with certain blocks being taken one step further with the implementation of bio-dynamic viticultural practices.

CELLAR

The wines at Hoopenburg are made in the vineyard meaning that once the fruit reaches the cellar all the hard work is done. The grapes are transformed into natures nectar with minimal intervention from the winemaker. Very little additives are used in the winemaking process, creating a wine as close to nature as possible.
